Alturas turns 35
Local conglomerate Alturas Group of Companies marked its 35th Anniversary last November 24, sans fanfare because of the pandemic, but instead gives more emphasis on its “Bayanihan” outreach program as a gesture of love and compassion in these trying times.
In the midst of “Tabang Luzon” fund drive here in the province of Bohol, Alturas was quick to response and provided an emergency fund worth P100,000, to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses which left trail of destruction in Luzon. The financial assistance was channeled through the “Inyong Alagad” Foundation of Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation (BCRC).
Another in-kind donation of ten sacks and four boxes of assorted apparel were also delivered last November 24, to the said foundation.
Through its Alay Marcela Foundation, Alturas is always in the forefront of reaching out to the community with various outreach programs and other humanitarian undertakings. Even outside the province, Alturas is always there and generous enough to help at all times.
During the eruption of Taal Volcano last January 12, Alturas donated P50,000 intended to augment the relief operations for the thousands of affected families. “It’s one act of kindness that transcends boundaries or borders…” said Mr. Ariel Fullido of the Alturas Corporate Marketing Department.
During the anniversary mass, Alturas Group of Companies General Manager Marlito C. Uy delivered a message to all the Alturas employees and staff emphasizing the need to tighten the belt, exert more efforts and improve productivity to curb the economic impact of the pandemic; while at the same time continue to serve the Boholanos with utmost care.
As a way of adding a little color to the occasion, Alturas conducted the virtual edition of “Dance Attack” 2020 and “Lip Synch Challenge”.
