Another Alturas scholars pass architecture exam
Another scholars of the Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) who finished BS in Architecture at Bohol Island State University (BISU)–Main are among the 1,120 passers of the recent Architect Licensure Examination given last January 25 and 27.
The new architects are Ar. Juvelyn O. Balbon of Tangohay, Dimiao, and Ar. Jenevib A. Sumagang of Landican, Baclayon, who now join two other Alturas scholars, Ar. Raquel Angelica R. Bagnol of Alegria Sur, Loay, and Ar. Choramae L. Matildo of Canlasid, Loboc, both graduate of BISU-Main and hurdled the board exam last year.
Juvelyn was ecstatic and immediately hugged her family tight upon learning of the results online as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Architecture (BoA). Jenevib on the other hand cried tears of joy when she was informed of the results.
Right after graduation, Juvelyn and Jenevib immediately applied at the AGC Planning, Designs & Construction Department, headed by no less than the company architect/topnotcher Perpetuo Arambala, who topped the architecture board exam in 1993.
Their apprenticeship at AGC likewise made them fully-equipped with the best knowledge and experience in the field of architecture, both in the workplace and on the field, as proven by another topnotch architect Jess Cyril C. Siton, an AGC apprentice who placed second in the Board in 2006.
Under company expenses, the two Alturas scholars reviewed hard for the board examination in a reputable review center, and no wonder they hurdled the exam with flying colors.
With their feat, AGC will honor their outstanding achievement as AGC will always give due recognition to its scholars who either earned their college degrees, or pass any board exams.
Mrs. Nancy A. Doydora, the designated coordinator of the Alturas Scholarship Program, said Alturas is nothing but so proud about the success of its scholars who must serve as inspiration to others. She added the company is grateful to them for living up to the expectation to pursue and finish their studies, while at the same time working in order to gain the experience and diploma, considered to be a perfect combination that a job seeker must have in order to stay ahead in the competitive world of employment.
Likewise, the scholars heartily conveyed their gratitude to the Alturas Group of Companies for helping them realize their dreams. Their parents also express the same sentiments thanking the company for helping them lighten the financial burden of their families through the scholarship program.
As envisioned in the company’s corporate social responsibility, Alturas is really steadfast in its commitment to help the students acquired a better education. It continues to offer scholarship grants to qualified students, including the children of its employees, who will enjoy free tuition and allowances. These scholars are bound to study in some of the top and leading colleges and universities here.
