Jollibee opens in Panglao

jollibee-news-imageEven in the midst of the pandemic, fastfood giant Jollibee continues to spread its langhap sarap goodness with the opening of its newest store in the tourist hub of Alona, along the circumferential road in Brgy. Tawala, Panglao.

Jollibee-Panglao is the 7th store here in Bohol, and the second outside Tagbilaran City, after Jollibee-Alturas in Talibon. The other Jollibee stores in the city are at Island City Mall, Alturas Mall, Alta Citta Mall, Plaza Marcela, and the CPG Drive-thru.

But one might ask why open a new store despite the severity of the health and economic crisis brought about by the coronavirus pandemic? The answer is simply anchored on Jollibee’s thrust of “spreading positivity and bringing joy of eating to everyone.”

Jollibee Bohol managing director, Mrs. Nancy Doydora, said that even with the weak economic climate, Jollibee chairman Tony Tan Caktiong is putting a positive spin on the crisis, aiming to emerge in 2021 as an even stronger business and organisation. Caktiong firmly believes, “Jollibee will start next year in a much stronger position in terms of business model, operating efficiency, profitability and organisation strength.”

Jollibee-Panglao will have its blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony a day earlier on Tuesday, September 15, at 4 pm, with guests Mayor Leonila Montero of Panglao, Alturas Group of Companies top honcho Marlito C. Uy, and Jollibee District 3 Area Manager for Visayas and Mindanao, Ma. Lucita Poquita; together with Mrs. Doydora, Jollibee Group Manager Joan Naranjo, and Jollibee-Panglao Store Manager, Myreen Corpus.

On the opening day, the first 100 dine-in or take-out customers will receive free Yumburger. One can also get free regular fries for a minimum P200 food purchase, or Jollibee novelty items for every P200 purchase with drink upgrade. Customers can also buy a coupon for only P220, and get one (1) Chicken Value Meal with one (1) free item, either Jollibee umbrella, tote bag, or draw string bag.

Jollibee-Panglao opens from 7 am to 8 pm, with 50% allowed capacity. For the safety and well-being of everyone, the store will strictly enforce health protocols, especially on maintaining social distancing, the wearing of face masks or face shields for both customers and employees/staff, and the constant sanitation and disinfection inside and outside the premises.

Mrs. Doydora also announced there’s something new at Jollibee-Panglao as customers can now dine-in or order take out conveniently using the new self-ordering kiosk (SOK), a touch screen menu board designed to keep customers avoid the long queues.

According to her, Jollibee has been investing heavily on innovation and digital technology just to keep customers comfortably, like the SOK where they can pay their orders easily and efficiently at the machine using their credit or debit cards, or settle the bill with cash at the counter.

Another new system adopted by the store is the “Pay and Claim” scheme which is all for comfort and satisfaction of customers. It further enhances the fastfood experience as it brings the joy and convenience of paying and claiming the order easy and hassle free.

Meanwhile, Jollibee-Alta Citta Mall and Jollibee-CPG Drive-thru bare their new store hours which will open both early at 6 am until 8 pm.
