Three Alturas scholars are new CPAs

The Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) is proud of its three scholars who passed the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountants last May 12, 19 and 20.

The new CPAs are Basiliso I. Baguhin, Jr., CPA of West Poblacion, Garcia-Hernandez; Neil R. Dacoylo, CPA of Sikatuna St., Tagb. City; and Philip Rey B. Salazar, CPA of Lapacan Sur, Buenavista, who are among the 1,699 successful examinees out 10,319 nationwide.

Prior to their board exams, the three BS in Accountancy graduates of Holy Name University were working at the Internal Audit Department (IAD) of AGC, and their apprenticeship likewise made them fully-equipped with the best knowledge and experience in the field of accountancy.

Under company expenses, the three Alturas scholars reviewed hard for the exam in a reputable review center in Cebu City and Manila. No wonder they hurdled the exam with flying colors.

With their feat, AGC will honor their outstanding achievement as AGC will always give due recognition to its scholars who either earned their college degrees, or pass any board exams.

AGC also lauded another six Alturas scholars who graduated last April with honors: Jamaica D. Montecalvo, Magna Cum Laude, BSA-Mater Dei College in Tubigon; Marilyn Arbuyes, Cum Laude, BS OSM-BISU; Alfredo Limas, Jr., Cum Laude, BS-HRST-BISU; Jan Eunesse J. Sevilla, Cum Laude, BSA-Mater Dei College; Victoria C. Tanud-Tanud, Cum Laude, BSA-Mater Dei College; and Miraflor P. Flores, Cum Laude, BSA-Mater Dei College.

Mrs. Nancy A. Doydora, the designated coordinator of the Alturas Scholarship Program, said Alturas is nothing but so proud about the success of its scholars who must serve as inspiration to others. She added the company is grateful to them for living up to the expectation to pursue and finish their studies, while at the same time working in order to gain the experience and diploma, considered to be a perfect combination that a job seeker must have in order to stay ahead in the competitive world of employment.

Likewise, the scholars heartily conveyed their gratitude to AGC for helping them realize their dreams. Their parents also express the same sentiments thanking the company for helping them lighten the financial burden of their families through the scholarship program.

As envisioned in the company’s corporate social responsibility, Alturas is really steadfast in its commitment to help the students acquired a better education. It continues to offer scholarship grants to qualified students, including the children of its employees, who will enjoy free tuition and allowances. These scholars are bound to study in some of the top and leading colleges and universities here.
