Alturas scholars earn degrees
Another batch of six scholars of Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) recently marched down the aisle through virtual graduation after they finished their respective four-year tertiary level course from the Holy Name University (HNU) and University of Bohol (UB), despite the pandemic.
The Alturas scholars who just graduated from college are Cyril Adrian B. Mawili of San Miguel, Bohol (UB-Management Accounting); Jasmin C. Baay of Pob. West, Catigbian, Bohol (UB-Management Accounting); Charisse B. Enriquez of Pandol, Corella, Bohol (HNU-BSBA Financial Management); Auee Jane L. Añora of Dait Norte, Buenavista, Bohol (HNU-BSBA Financial Management); Mercy P. Lumanas of Lourdes, Cortes, Bohol (UB-BS Accountancy), and Aprilyn V. Cantones of Canlaas, Antequera, Bohol (UB-Management Accounting)
Because of the CoViD-19 pandemic, these scholars navigated through hardships and challenges as restrictions and community quarantines are in place. With the help of AGC they managed to overcome the circumstances and finish their desired college degrees. At last they were able to don their graduation gowns to mark their success.
With their feat, AGC will honor their outstanding achievement as AGC will always give due recognition to its scholars who either earned their college degrees, or pass any board exams.
Mrs. Nancy A. Doydora, the designated coordinator of the Alturas Scholarship Program, said Alturas is nothing but so proud about the success of its scholars who must serve as inspiration to others. She added the company is grateful to them for living up to the expectation to pursue and finish their studies, while at the same time working in order to gain the experience and diploma, considered to be a perfect combination that a job seeker must have in order to stay ahead in the competitive world of employment.
Likewise, the scholars heartily conveyed their gratitude to AGC for helping them realize their dreams. Their parents also express the same sentiments thanking the company for helping them lighten the financial burden of their families through the scholarship program.
As envisioned in the company’s corporate social responsibility, Alturas is really steadfast in its commitment to help the students acquired a better education. It continues to offer scholarship grants to qualified students, including the children of its employees, who will enjoy free tuition and allowances. These scholars are bound to study in some of the top and leading colleges and universities here.
The six newly-graduated Alturas scholars proudly display their college diplomas at the lobby of Alturas Corporate Center.
